Covid rules in Wales

Hi
Just looked up a couple of hotels in Wales and it says about having Covid passes and wearing masks outside of your room.

I thought that had stopped in Wales at the end of Feb so not sure if it's rules at their discretion etc? Can anyone advise? Thanks.

I think the hotel can still ask for masks etc themselves. We stayed at a hotel in England at half term and they were still asking guests to wear masks in corridors etc, despite it no longer being law.

I live in Wales and although masks are now only mandatory in shops, health care settings and on public transport most people are still wearing them in cafes and restaurants until they are seated at their table. Same in theatres. I would imagine it is similar in hotels.

The same goes for Covid passes - although venues aren't required to ask for them they still can if they want.

A lot of places like schools, offices, universities, gyms etc are still insisting that masks be worn.

Thanks
If they are still mandatory in shops and public transport, I will give it a miss anyway.
The way it was written sounded like law rather than guidance and I couldn't seem to find an up to date welsh law link.

Thank you.

28th is when restrictions are lifted here although as mentioned, places can ask that people wear masks etc. Compliance has slipped a bit here as regards masks but still the majority seem to be wearing them

Thank you. I will look at things again after that date.

OP just keep in mind, restrictions are due to change on the 28th but subject to it being considered safe to do so. With cases sharply rising there is a possibility the date may be put back.

Yes, I discussed it with mum earlier and I think we better stick with England! Thanks.
