Day 5, still shattered but DH has it

Tested again today and the very strong line I had on Day 2 has dropped back down to the almost invisible line on Day 1. So Covid must be on its way out. And DH, who looked after me, shopped, cooked etc, now has it. So I should be looking after him. But I feel so knackered and weak I can barely walk and still feel like I have a heavy cold.

Not sure if I should just get on with it or take it very easy still, in case of Long Covid.

Any advice?

Take it easy. I'm 3 weeks down the line and still struggling with fatigue. You might be fine but we couldn't really rest as kids had it at same time

Thank you.

How are your kids doing? Are they back to normal?

Do you still get breathless?

I've just washed the bedroom windows and sorted some laundry and now I feel breathless and knackered. Just from two small jobs. Hmm

Op why are you doing what must be non urgent tasks when you are still unwell?

Tigerblue · 12/02/2022 11:08

We both caught it within two days of eachother, both incapable of doing much for six days. It was just a case of who could face warming up soup, doing washing up, at the time. If you're both ill at the same time, surely you work together and help eachother. If you feel a bit better in a couple of days, you can do more then.

Take it easy - essential tasks only, make sure you rest regularly, even if just ten minutes sitting down with a cuppa. Seriously, don't over do it! I'm on day 20 and still exhausted - single parent and kids had it at the same time as me, so no choice but to get on with it, but I really wouldn't recommend it if you have the choice. Easy dinners; essential laundry; as little else as possible. I'm also on immune suppressants due to autoimmune disease, which hasn't helped, but I'm sure I wouldn't still be so wiped out if I'd been able to rest.

Do you know what "taking it easy" means woman? It doesnt involve washing the windows!

I know but I'd been in bed staring at how grubby they were for four days. It felt like a good idea at the time.

@GoGoPowerScooter that must have been so hard for you. Hope you can take it steady.
