What day did you start testing negative?

I tested positive on Wednesday so do I count that day as 0 or day 1? Also when testing for early release did anyone get a negative 1st time and then positive on second test? Feeling slightly under pressure to get a negative result for work 😔

My DH tested positive Wednesday and has had a negative today, hopefully he will get another tomorrow.

Day 0 is the day you tested positive unless you had symptoms prior.
I'm on day 8 and still very very positive. I still have a cold and hoarse voice. My son is day 8 also and has had his 2nd negative this morning so is getting ready for school, he still has a little cold and slight cough. T&T advised that unless you have a fever or sickness and diarrhea, you can leave isolation after 2 negatives.
Hope you don't suffer to bad with it op. We've been lucky to get away with heavy colds, although I lost my voice for 3 days (not a bad thing according to DH and the kids!!).

What happens if I can see the very faintest of lines? Does it actually come up completely clear?

England or Scotland? Positive test is day 0 in England and 1 in Scotland. I was negative on D11, DH D15... Fully clear, faint line is still positive...

As others have said, the day you test positive is day 0.
I have just had covid, felt alright tbh. I was still testing positive for 16 days. Went back to work after the ten days though.

I was negative on day 14

The first day of symptoms or day you test positive (whichever is first) is day 0, and you isolate for 10 clear days after that. If you have a code from NHS test and trace after you reported your result, put that into the app and it tells you when your last day of isolation is. Unfortunately, I'm still testing positive on day 9, so I'll be doing my full 10 day isolation before going back to work. I don't know many people who've avoided doing the full days, except for children.

I was first negative on day 6. Day for test positive is day 0 which I think is fair enough if you test in the afternoon. But most people test in the morning so I think the Scottish approach is better and it should be day 1!

Any line is positive test I'm afraid. My line is fading but still visible within the 20 minutes. On my earlier days it was coming up instantly. So I take this to be a good thing. Im on Day 8. Work would really like me back but there is literally nothing I or they can do.

Thank you I wasn't quite sure at first with the first days as didnt come up straight away and barely there.

I first tested negative on day 7. Unvaccinated And pretty asymptomatic. Had 3 days of very faint positives followed by 3 very strong positives and then one very faint positive, before testing negative again.
