Post COVID lack of energy/fatigue.

I've read all the posts on here re: post covid recovery and feel grateful that others are forthcoming in their posts about their symptoms.

I would describe my covid experience (Jan 21 tested positive) as mild and my major symptom was definitely fatigue/lack of energy during my isolation period. However last week I felt pretty good and embraced my new found freedom. At the moment as of yesterday and today I feel back to where I was during covid, tired de-energised, lethargic. Made myself go out for a long walk this evening, 6k steps on my app, so I can do it and felt good while I was out in fresh air..

Any thoughts on how long this might go on for?

I don't know but my legs have felt heavy since I had covid at the end of December. During my isolation period I was ok, just the usual symptoms of a heavy cold, but I have really struggled to get back to my normal levels of activity, especially running (was previously running 5-10k, 3x per week, but finding it really hard now). I can't tell whether it's the aftermath of covid or just general January/February blues. I'm hoping that the arrival of spring helps me to get my energy back.

I had Covid back in October. Extreme fatigue for several weeks, off work for 6 weeks. Eventually got back to doing usual things, but I still feel that I have to pace myself and not do too much in a day. If I over-do it I still have occasional 'Covid days' where I have to retreat to bed for the day, no energy at all. It is incredibly variable person to person, so no way of knowing how this will go on for you. It's crap, isn't it?!

Thanks for your replies.......yes it is crap. Today will be interesting, my first day back at work, luckily just the afternoon. I'm a supply teacher and I've got 30 reception children with an hour of PE thrown in. Let's see how I feel after four o'clock!

I'm the same, and was off work for 5 weeks. I am being really careful to pace myself, and go to bed before 9 pm most nights. No idea when it will end.
