Covid in house

DH & DS have both tested positive for Covid this evening. I am testing negative and so far have no symptoms. I am suddenly really anxious though. Like the thing we've all been trying to avoid for 2 years is finally in our house. DS is fine and DH just has a cough. I don't know why I'm so worried. Sad

Same here. Dd18 tested positive on Tuesday. Nobody has had covid in our house before despite the family attending four different settings. Im a teaching assistant. Ds3 goes to nursery. Dd11 is in year 6 and dd18 is doing her A levels at college. We are all still negative despite testing everyday. Lets hope we all stay negative Op.

It's a mindset isn't it. For two years we've been told to avoid it, do this that and the other to protect ourselves and our loved ones. But behind the scenes bojo has been pitching for herd immunity all along. Luckily for him, Omicron has come along and saved his bacon in being a low pathogenic, high transmissible variant. It's basically nature's vaccine. And you can't avoid it, everyone is going to catch it sooner or later. May as well be sooner, just in case a more nasty variant emerges next.

Embrace it as being inevitable, and congratulate yourself on avoiding it thus far.
