I have tested positive and am isolating. Do you think I need to warn everyone who is going to come into contact with my DD (age 12) e.g. at after school clubs etc? Dd is fine - no symptoms and negative lateral flows

No but I wouldn’t send her if you don’t need to. It’s so contagious and she could easily test negative in the morning and be positive by the afternoon (happened to several I know).

I wouldn’t bother. Rates are so high at the moment I expect everyone assumes most people have been in contact with someone with covid recently.

I would say the right thing is for your DD to limit her social contacts while there's a high risk of her being in an incubation period having caught Covid from you. So I would say she should be going to school only and not other activities. I have a group of friends I meet with for an activity, and a couple of times people have cancelled due to their children having Covid. I think that's basic consideration for others. My employer has also made clear that staff must work from home and not come into the office if anyone they live with has Covid.

Nah

Thanks everyone. Finding it all a bit tricky. I preferred it when the rules were clear!
