Is it still dangerous?

So I have covid and am double vaccinated ( last vaccine was 12 weeks ago) so wasn't expecting to be too bad with it. However I have a very high BMI (40+) and am having some mild chest pains. Fine otherwise apart from cold type symptoms.

Anyway I remember with original covid there was one particular day that people ended up hospitalised - day 8 maybe? Is that still the case with omicron or on day 3 am I out of the woods?

It's after a week or so that things can turn nasty. From what I remember that was due to people's immune system going into overdrive.
Remember though, that is in a tiny minority of people, the likelihood is that it will just be a mild, self limiting illness.

You're probably having mild chest pains because you're panicking it will turn more sinister. This is completely understandable but please don't stress. For most people it's a bad case of the flu/cold and goes in a week or so. Thanks
