What’s happening in your workplace tomorrow?

Mine has totally ignored WHF through out and are removing social distancing and mask requirements as of tomorrow. We work in an office with around 100 people and windows barely cracked.

Like nothing happened.

What are your employers doing? If you are CEV, what are you doing?

We are all back in. Large office well distanced people open windows if they want too. I'm CEV and I've been back in for over a year now. Hated wfh.

I work in a university and we're keeping measures in place until second week of Feb when it will be reviewed. Students are back after exams and cases are rising here. I think it's the right thing to do.

StCharlotte · 27/01/2022 09:03

All back in the office from this Monday and only a few were wfh this time anyway. I suspect they will ask us to keep masks when not at our desks but that's about it.

Letsnotargue · 27/01/2022 09:06

We’re still WFH although the option is there to work from the office if we need to. Offices are offering 60% capacity, desks have to be booked. Masks, screens, distancing and open windows are all staying. I’m staying WFH as I now have a better set up (2 monitors, good chair, standing desk) than I would in the office, without all the faff.

Work with children who have cancer. No change here

Scottishgirl85 · 27/01/2022 09:12

Nothing changing. We're all still wfh and haven't been to office in almost 2 years since 1st lockdown. We will eventually go back 2 days a week. I work for big pharma (one of the vaccine developers) and they are taking cautious approach.

WhiteChocTwix · 27/01/2022 13:34

Nothing changing here. Hybrid working, masks when moving around, distancing, open windows, enhanced cleaning all to continue. Suits me!

soundsystem · 27/01/2022 13:45

We're carrying on with masks and twice weekly LFTs. In general we're expected in the office 60% of the time but it's not a blanket rule - people with concerns are encouraged to talk to their line manager and I don't think there's particular pressure on anyone. I tend to go in 3 or 4 days because some bits of my role can't really be done from home.

I work in a university though so there's a bit of a sense that they know better than the government anyway!

whatthej3ff · 27/01/2022 14:22

Call for everyone to be back in the office full time. Masks are only required in the lifts.

anungratefulwretch · 27/01/2022 14:41

University lecturer here - I'm in 2-3 days a week at the moment as all teaching is back face-to-face. However if I'm not teaching I WFH, and all meetings are remaining online (thank god). Masks will remain at an individual's discretion (ie 95% of the students won't wear them!).

Suits me fine - it's nice to see my students again and I was getting a bit bored at home all the time, but equally there's no good reason to force everyone back in just to sit in meeting rooms.

wendz86 · 27/01/2022 14:58

We are going back 2 days a week minimum same as last year before we got told to work at home again in Dec. No masks etc required.

emmathedilemma · 27/01/2022 15:30

No update since plan B was launched but I imagine there will be a call to get back to our "new way of working" be that fulltime at home/office/hybrid. Since plan B came into force more people have been working from home fulltime than were previously. I expect we'll keep the masks when moving around the office etc.

Whyevencare · 27/01/2022 15:48

Have been back in the office since August 2020, a workforce of 20 - masks have never been worn and no windows open. We've had 4 covid cases in total, all double jabbed.
