Getting covid again twice in 5 weeks

My DD had covid before Christmas, one day of feeling a bit under the weather then fine, ex and grandparents got it as well.
Last week my youngest got it no symptoms, I tested my eldest as she was feeling poorly this morning, She’s positive again, 5 weeks after the last positive - is this a thing now? Or is she just unlucky? She’ll obviously isolate again, but that’s another week of school she’s missing so 11 days (7 last time due to 10 day rule and at least 6 this time if she’s negative at day 5/6) if she’s well tomorrow this is crazy. I’m not arguing the isolation rules, but so much school being missed :(

There are a few in my DS class that have had it twice and quite quickly. So nov/ Dec. I was wondering if they had delta the first time as 2 parents got it from their kids and were really quite unwell which is more typical in adults with delta. Who knows?!

You can stay positive up to 90 days after covid

I was wondering the 90 day thing, I know she can’t have a pcr but she was negative between, and well, she is unwell today. School/guidelines are she isolates and it’s treated as a new case.

I know of a few in DDs class testing positive within 5-6 weeks of having it before, hopefully different variants.
