vaccine efficacy for the inmunosuppressed

Hello. When vaccines were first offered, immunosuppressed people were told they'd be less effective for them than for the rest of the population. Since then, I've heard nothing more specific. Does anyone know if there have been any findings anywhere about how much less effective they are for this group? Thanks

It varies by condition and by person. The most immunocompromised get a third primary dose though — details are in chapter 14a around page 21 of The Green Book.

DP is CEV immunosuppressed and tripple jabbed, has had covid twice. The HCQ seems to be the helpful item to be honest.

Thanks all for responding. After following the links I'm still unclear but I take the point about individual responses.
@TheNoonBell thanks for the tip - I thought it had been debunked? But in any case I think it is contraindicated for the condition I have.

I'm sure I'm not the first to say this but it's kind of jarring to compare the initial advice to CEV people ('don't leave the house, ever! If you want fresh air, open a window') to how things are now. And it's confusing to say the least to have no idea if the vaccines are offering any protection, or how much.

DP (early 50s) doesn't shield at all, had covid twice and it wasn't that bad either time, second time was a cold. Zero shielding since Jan 2021, generally no mask or if so only to make other feel better.

We both take vit C/lots of D/K + zinc daily. Got much fitter and shed a lot of weight over lockdown.

Definitely. I'm waiting for my 4th vaccine, still avoiding people and now masks are going I'm back to online shopping

@MaybeHeIsMyCat
Have you tried the NHS risk calculator to see just how much risk you might be at? It has provided a lot of reassurance to many of our friends.

@TheNoonBell yes, my condition is so rare it's not even on there Blush
I'm basically at the same risk as someone with blood cancer
