So tired after covid

Before getting it I was walking 10km a day and reasonably fit. The fatigue was the worst part of covid for me. I slept round the clock tge first few days. Gradually I needed less sleep and now I'm out of isolation (tested positive for the first time 3 weeks ago) I've been trying to go for walks, go swimming etc and my body is resisting.

I'm working full time this week so just feel I have to rest today although I'd like to go out and do something. Is it just a case of building up gradually to previous activity levels?

I'm double jabbed plus booster and didn't suffer any breathing difficulties but have chronic upset stomach as a lingering symptom and just feel shattered like I always want to be in bed.

I wasn't particularly tired during my isolation period but the fatigue hit me as I was leaving isolation. It's a surprising virus. I'm still really shattered after having it in December and my symptoms were pretty mild at the time. Also have had some other lingering symptoms. So you are not alone on this. My stomach hasn't been right either. Not helped with eating habits changing due to being off food with it, then being hungry but not being able to smell or taste then everything tasting off or smoky!

Dp a pretty mild case (ill for one day then fine!) but was left with a strange symptom. Can't go into too much detail as it it's quite intimate, (erectile issues) but it lasted about 6 weeks afterwards and still not totally back to normal now. Had to be covid as no other explanation and it's said to be a longer term symptoms in some men. Sorry if that is tmi on this post btw!

As I said above it's a bizarre virus. Even in mild cases, people are left with horrid long term symptoms or problems!

I had Covid a week of so ago. Came out if isolation in Monday. I’m still shattered. And then I immediately got a cold after the Covid.
It seems to get a bit better each day.

Fatigue is a major symptom. Don't push yourself as it will just delay recovery.
I was hospitalised and fatigue was still the worst symptom. For me it didn't lift for about 6 weeks.

I think boredom has made me feel worse. I'm at the gym now just going to have a 30 min walk on the treadmill. I know I could do that outside but I really like going to my gym and it's part of my usual routine. Nice to get back to normality gradually.

DCs ate winding each other up and the gym is a good way to get out of the house without them... I looked after them all day yesterday on my own so it's DH turn!

Yes! This is how I feel!

Exhausted. Isolation ended 2 days ago but I don't have the energy to do anything. I don't even want to. I feel so lazy. And weary.

I'm hoping this passes soon. The house is a bombsite & the kids have run out of clean clothes. Still can't do anything though.

Hugs to everyone. This virus is brutal.

I did 45 mins on the treadmill in the end. No running though, just walking. It was great to be back doing my thing.

Tomorrow I'm planning to walk to work and back so should hit 10k steps, hoping to maintain that daily for a week then move to 12k the next week.

Exercise lifts my mood so much and I really struggle when I'm restricted.
