I tested positive for covid a week ago. Generally i am feeling ok but this nausea is horrendous. I cannot carry on with normal activities as i just feel so sick. For anyone who experienced nausea during covid when did it stop?

I was just coming on to ask the same question, I only tested positive yesterday so it’s not looking good for me going off your post Sad
Sorry I can’t answer your question but hopefully someone will be along soon to put us out of our misery

Mano2020 · 20/01/2022 16:38

Hope you feel better soon and i really pray this awful nausea disappears soon for both of us x

I posted about this over Christmas. My nausea lasted nearly four weeks I'm afraid to say. Someone replied to me saying they had it for six weeks. Most people had it for much less time though so fingers crossed you will start feeling better soon. It's miserable isn't it? I had a peice of dry toast for Christmas dinner so I feel your pain.

How did you get through four weeks? I feel so sick. I had horrible nausea throughout my pregnancy and this feels exactly the same if not worse. I have to keep trying to get my mind of it or else i begin to gag. My appetite has gone too but i am still trying to eat little and often. Its such a horrible feeling out of all the symptoms you can possibly have. I really pray it goes soon.

I contacted the doctors today and got some anti sickness tablets. It’s too early to say if they work properly as I feel sick now but when I took one earlier I did manage to keep some food down for the first time today. I hope we’re both feeling better soon,

I was thinking about anti sickness medicine too. The nausea does not stop at all throughout the day for me. I feel slightly better when laying down but with a little one that is hard. Praying we recover soon.

Hey, sorry to message an old thread but can you share how long the nausea lasted? I’m on day 3 and feeling very sorry for myself

Mano2020 · 25/03/2022 17:29

Hi, thats ok. I know the feeling, honestly still think about that time now. It will feel like it will never stop but it will stop as fast as it started. I think my nausea lasted just over 2 weeks. I am absolutely fine now. Wishing you a fast recovery hang in there Smile

I had covid 3 weeks ago and still suffering nausea, stomach pains and dizziness.

I have Covid now and I am taking Cyclizine which is helping a lot with the nausea. You can buy it over the counter I think in a pharmacy and or online. I bought this in advance because I also had Covid in March 2020 and had awful nausea for weeks and was offered nothing. This helps quite a lot if you can get it. It's an antihistamine.

2 weeks for me. Travel sickness tablets helped for a short while. The only thing I wanted for days was ready salted crisps, about 3 at a time as I think I needed the salt. Water was a bad idea, gave me reflux and felt very harsh, although it was a good idea in a bigger picture.
