Taking positive child out in the car

Is it ok for someone to take their covid positive child out in the car, to take siblings to school? Even if they don’t get out of the car at all? Adults and other children all testing negative on lateral flows and don’t need to isolate.

I’m thinking it’s probably not allowed.....

@Sallydimebar

Probably only need to do it today and tomorrow till siblings test positive after spreading it round class.
What nonsense. They don’t have to isolate! Why should they miss ten days of school?

No they don’t but for the sake of 2 days you could be cautious see if they turn positive over the weekend but instead risk passing it on so some other child who then had to be off next week for 10 days .

A positive case shouldn’t leave the house that’s the answer to your question… all sat in car together( no risk there is there )! but you know that or you wouldn’t be asking .

My dd is at boarding school 6 hours away. I had to get her home somehow when she tested positive, so we drove back. She also needed the loo so went to a services. It’s fine - common sense must prevail now surely?
