Does this sound right?

My husband tested positive from a PCR test and has been told to self-isolate. As he was filling in his track and trace thing he put my details in as being in the same household.

I immediately got an email saying although we're in the same house I don't have to self isolate.

Does this sound correct, or has he filled it in wrong? I have a runny nose and I'm waiting for the results of my own PCR.

I think the rules are different depending on if you’re in England, Scotland or wales

In England not if you are vaccinated. Although taking LFTs is advised.

Your own results are separate.

Yes that's correct, as long as you are fully vaccinated you don't isolate. However if you have symptoms that warrant a pcr, you do need to isolate until you get the results. This has been the case for some time now.

Thank you, we're in England. The government website is as clear as mud!

Current rules are if you are vaccinated and in England then you don’t have to isolate but to take LFT for 7 days or if you get symptoms get a PCR test.

Now you've had a PCR you need to isolate until you get the results.
