If vaccine affected your periods, when did they return to normal?

I’m in my late 20s and have been having very regular (but inconsistent) and long periods (eg 2 weeks on 1 week off but sometimes less time on) since June when I had my first dose (before that my periods were extremely rare , I had bloods taken and they were apparently normal so I didn’t have any further investigation, and I put it down to having lost some weight and being on my second year of the implant). I was told before having my 2nd dose that it was normal for vaccines to cause a bit of disruption to women’s menstrual cycle, but it should settle down in a couple months. My second dose was in September so it’s been 3 months (I haven’t had my booster yet due to this issue) I am wondering if I should ring a doctor to ask since they’ve still not settled down? But I don’t really know what they could do to help? I’ve been removed from my practice due to moving so need to find a doctor and register! I feel like I’m constantly on a period 😩

I am very similar 😭
My 2nd vaccine was in June and mine are still crazy. 2 week long periods. Spotting for a few days.

My bloods were normal and US was normal (I had to go privately)

I think it's just a waiting game OP. I'm going to go on hormonal contraception to sort the periods out. Has that been suggested to you?

Mine were changed but it was good for me - it shortened and lightened my awful periods. The second dose approx 2 months after didn't change anything, they continued lighter and shorter than normal. About 4 months after the 2nd dose they started to return to previous, very long and heavy. Then after recent booster it's gone back to being light and quick. I appreciate though that for anyone with gynae issues or ttc then each month probably feels endless, but from my experience and that of female friends and family it's altering things for around 4/5 months so hopefully things will get back to normal for you.

I’ve gone from every 28 days to every 6 weeks since my first moderna and after 7 months that’s still not changed !

My periods have completely changed. I have been on a clockwork 22 days cycle with 3 days bleeding for 30+ years. Immediately after my 1st vaccine they jumped up to a 60 day cycle and 6 days bleed.

They seem to start to settle then I had the 2nd vaccine, then the 3rd.

Perhaps I'm menopausal...

I had vaccine last march, 3 months of very heavy flooding periods (awful) they then settled a bit and now I bleed for 2 days maximum very very light, sometimes miss altogether.

My usual cycle was clockwork every 29 days heavy for 2 lighter for 2 slight spotting on day 5 and has been same since age 12.

I'm 37 now and had my children so haven't bothered investigating the period thing the lighter the better as far as I'm concerned

Why are we being told they go back to normal after two months?

I haven’t been vacced so it’s not been an issue but I’m quite protective of the fact my periods aren’t a problem. My neighbour has had flooding for months although it’s gradually improving. The GP didn’t yellow card it as said so common!
