Had a sore arm ever since getting vaxxed in 2021

Will preface this by saying I'm an expat living abroad so health systems may be different where I live. I'm also very pro vax.

Has anyone else had a sore arm long term after the vaccination? It feels like I pulled a muscle and I have slightly restricted movement. My second jab was mid-2021 so it's been a long time.

I could be imagining the link and maybe I just pulled a muscle but thought I would see if anyone else experienced the same thing.

I haven't seen a GP or physio because it's expensive to see a good one and I only want to go if I really need to.

Has anyone else you know of had this happen?

Yes my mum did and it still hurts her now. She had her booster into her leg as her arm and shoulder is still so painful. GP has referred her for a steroid injection into it to try and ease it. She’s had physio too for it. Good luck 🤞

Yes, I had this to. I also live abroad, but healthcare is affordable where I am. My GP referred me to a physio, but my arm started to get getter by itself.
I've just been boosted now so I'm hoping it won't happen again.

Yes it happened me. I had to get three steroid injections from a consultant a month apart in two different areas of my shoulder. I will be finished the steroid injections this month and then onto physio. I had my booster about 10 days ago and I'm fine after that. I got the booster in my other arm in order not to aggravate my bad arm. I don't think it's the vaccine itself but how it is administered. It is a lot better now but I had very little use of my arm since July. It's cost me an absolute fortune as I don't live in UK. It is important you get sorted as the consultant told me it will only get worse if left untreated.

I am also pro vax.

Thank you so much for these replies. Going to see a doctor.

Frozen shoulder is a known side effect/ consequence of vaccination being placed too high on the arm.

Pain can start top of bicep and restricts movement. Also known as Adhesive Capsulitis.

ThreeKneeRepeater · 09/01/2022 09:22

I know someone this happened to. I think it was called a subdeltoid bursitis. The injection was apparently given too high up. She’s had steroid injections and physio.

I have Frozen Shoulder in my left shoulder which started just after my first vaccination. I am starting to wonder if that's what caused it.
I am also pro-vaccination and wouldn't hesitate to have further vaccinations but if it is caused by the jab being given too high in the arm then surely more training is needed?

OP, try some exercises for Frozen Shoulder. If you Google you should find some. I'm having physio for mine and that combined with the exercises really helps. Apparently it will just resolve itself in time
