Hey I’m on day 9 and feel lots better thankfully :) I’m just wondering has anyone else been floored by tiredness???

Literally I woke up properly early teatime and could just go back to sleep now. Any one else and is it a one off??

I've been like it for all bar one of the last 10 days. It's weird how it hits so suddenly.

Sometimes it lasts 20 minutes and sometimes it lasts for hours.

CovidCurious · 07/01/2022 17:43

I had horrific fatigue for at least 6 days, then it was on and off during the last 4.

Kca29 · 07/01/2022 18:18

I wasn't at the start, usual energy levels but towards the end so similar time frame to what you are on now I started to feel exhausted!!! The smallest of tasks would tire me out. It did get better, it was Christmas so that did help somewhat (no work, no school for the kdis etc). Back to normal again now this week and I'm bloody tired. Probably not all down to covid but a mix or Christmas come down and covid recovery.

Terrible.. As someone who works full time and always up early I was sleeping in until 12 midday.
Still feeling it now on day 16

isitnewyearyet · 07/01/2022 18:23

Yes had this for a day!

Day 10 here and still feel wiped out. Achy back and neck as well which is definitely not helping with the tiredness

Badhairday101 · 07/01/2022 18:37

Yes completely exhausted. I’ve been thinking I feel ok when I wake up after 14 hours in bed, but then do a bit of cleaning and I need a nap!
I’m on day 5 but work long days as a teacher and am generally fit and active. There is no chance I can go back to school on day 7, I still feel rubbish and am averaging the same hours sleep as a newborn!

Badhairday101 · 07/01/2022 18:38

Plus my brain isn’t working fully, I can’t think or even follow a conversation šŸ˜‚

It’s taken me by surprise - 7pm already and I haven’t even started the day. I always say sleep heals so šŸ¤žšŸ¤žšŸ¤ž

I was knackered but had two children to look after alone.. so no choice but to carry on & not sleep/rest!

In hindsight, it probably did me good. I felt worse at the weekend my husband was home & I did get to rest. Sleeping in the day made me feel groggy & out of sync & more tired! So on the last couple days isolation, I went back to keeping myself awake & allowed a short nap! I was still zonked but felt much better in my mind & self!

SquishySquirmy · 07/01/2022 21:43

I feel like this, I'm on day 8.
But not sure if it's entirely due to covid, and not in part due to being cooped up with v. Little exercise and fresh air. I was the last in the household to come down with it, so stared isolating as a household a couple of weeks ago and I am in dire need of a long, brisk walk in the winter sunshine I think. Everyone else is allowed out again now except for me! I feel so tired and foggy headed, have been trying to work from home but struggling to focus and needing naps Blush. Or sleeping in till noon. But as a pp said, sometimes that can make me feel groggier.... but then on the other hand, maybe my body is telling me I need the rest? Don't know what is best.

Delta 1st November, been feeling a bit rubbish ever since.

kerkyra · 07/01/2022 22:45

Day 13 for me and the first time I feel normal. Gone is the fuzzy head, periods of where my head would burn up for a minute or two and the constant nausea. So relieved.
