Anyone with omicron suddenly feel worse after a few days?

I'm on day 7 and still testing positive on LFT. I'm mid fifties and triple vacc'd. I have had symptoms of heavy cold but improving last two days to the point I could walk in the garden yesterday for half an hour today twice that. However I wonder if I've overdone it as I feel extremely done in and have developed a cracking headache that's resistant to pain relief and feeling more snotty suddenly. Is this possible after 7 days?! I thought for the vaccinated it was short lived and relatively mild. Interested to hear anyone else who thought they were improving then felt worse.

Yea thanks for the suggestion , tried the Olbas oil and it gives minutes of relief …. Still no significant improvement …. What a dose day 5 today

I had 3 days of sinusitis and then a funny fizzing/burning feeling in my nose. Didn't really feel ill, but it did knock my fitness levels. Went for some exercise day 9 and it was a bit much. Managed nearly my normal exercise activity by day 14, so a pretty quick recovery.
I took the usual recommended vits and mins throughout and then B vitamins and lots of magnesium have helped a lot with recovery, think.

@NeverTalksToStrangers

I've never tested positive, but with the original covid strains, most patients took a turn for the worse between days 7-10 I think? So it definitely seems to be a covid thing.
Yes, not sure whether it was omicron (although timing right at the beginning of it being uncovered), but DH had some odd issues which needed brief medical help, and they said that day 3/4 and day 9 can be nastier than the rest. Seems that it has quite a long run of effects even if you are not noticing the symptoms for some of it.

I'm triple jabbed, 50's, I've had exactly the same experience...felt well on day 5 so I worked (from home). By 3:00 pm I had horrendous headache, pressure behind the eyes, felt nauseous and totally washed out and my legs felt like they belong to somebody else. Today (day 7) felt OK this morning so did a bit of cleaning...now feeling nauseous and legs are wobbly again....

I tested positive Thursday on lft and pcr came back today positive too ☹ my friend pointed out that my voice was a bit harsh so took a test just in case. I feel OK in myself a little fatigue and a slight burn in my chest but I wouldn't have expected covid. I've been worse off a cold 🥶 it's so strange how we are all effected differently I really thought I would struggle with it when I got it

I'm on day 6, feeling pretty rough. I didn't think I was going to feel this bad! Hopefully a few more days we'll be over the worst.

Anybody experience d palpitations?

SallyWD · 01/02/2022 16:40

I'm triple vaccinated and on day 9. It's been a case of 3 steps forward 2 steps back for me. Most of last week felt awful and it's all a blur but I remember the last few days: Friday felt much improved, Saturday and Sunday felt awful, Monday felt much improved, today feel rubbish. I don't know what to expect from one day to the other.

Aron123 · 01/02/2022 16:53

It's horrible 😞 I hope we all feel better soon its definitely not a mild feeling x

nowtygaffer · 01/02/2022 17:09

I know! It definitely doesn't feel mild! Fingers crossed we all start to feel better soon.

Hi. Didn’t want to start a new thread
I tested positive last Thursday. The symptoms started days previous to the on the Monday/ Tuesday. I’m still faint line positive but I actually feel worse the last 2 days than ever!
I have a terrible cough and I’m feeling a bit concerned it’s going to end up a chest infection. Still have a heavy cold and I’ve had this since last since 1st feb a couple of days before eventually testing positive. I’m exhausted. My son 2.5 is the same. I’m currently pregnant and had the covid booster the day before testing positive Hmm
Seems to be normal? How long do you think this could last ? I’ve been off work and due back next week but with how I’m feeling I don’t know I’ll be there. I hate being off and letting people down Confused

Whathefisgoingon · 12/02/2022 09:27

I’m on day 7 with a faint positive.

It’s been very up and down, but very mild overall. Day 6 I woke up feeling relatively normal but by PM I felt shattered and a bit spaced out again!

This morning I’ve woken up feeling relatively normal but more of a congested nose than yesterday, we will see what the afternoon brings..

Aron123 · 12/02/2022 10:21

I was quite ill on day 6 7 I couldn't leave my bed I was alright the first 5 day like a bad cold but on day 6 it's hit me I would suggest check your oxygen level and if you are scared call your gp they can help .it's really scary especially you are pregnant xx after day 8 I was improving good luck

jmcg2015 · 07/12/2022 13:38

Another in the club here, day 1-4 I felt rough, but improving every day. Hot day 6 and my taste and smell are muted and a cough has appeared, I didn't really have a cough previously . Comforting to know it's part of the ride, but still super annoying!

pollypocket88 · 17/12/2022 17:07

@Aron123 this is me today, day 7 and feeling worse than I did the last few days! Dizzy, nauseous and tired and the last couple of days I thought I had recovered! Hope it settles soon..
