What to do when covid in household?

One positive case found today - 5 of us in the house (fully vax adults, not vax kids)
What’s the protocol? + child stays home, vaxxed adults and 2 other kids can go to work/school? LFT every day, PCR for the positive…or do we all need PCR?
Thought I knew what was what but all seems v confusing now I have to put it into practise!

You are correct, but it’s up to you if you get everyone a PCR test. This is if you are in the UK.

If it was me I would order PCR tests for everyone.

Hope you all are ok!

Positive stays home

Fully vaxxed adult and non vaxxed children under 18 can go about there normal lives with a LFT every day

As others have said. Please do the daily LFDs even if you feel well. There was a gap of 6 days between our first case and the rest of our household turning positive. Which was a complete PITA because it stretched our isolation out (the negative people didn’t isolate completely but were exceptionally cautious and didn’t see family).
You can test on day 6 and if negative again on day 7, if negative you are free. In real life I don’t know anyone who was negative on day 6 but you never know. Otherwise it’s the full 10 days and then free (unless you have a temperature).

We’re in this position. 5 adults fully-vaxxed, one asymptomatic CEV positive. We’re all taking daily LFT tests and the “negatives” are going about our daily lives. “Positive” is self isolating and trying to keep separate from us all. Lots of ventilation and we’re hoping none of us catch it.

As he’s showing no symptoms, he doesn’t have to do a PCR. It’s ironic that the only one who is “severely immuno-suppressed” is the one who has caught it - yet shows no symptoms. We’re hoping it stays that way

Our secondary school has very clear advice for parents about what they want done before a child goes back to school if their sibling, say, has covid.

You need to do what the schools and/or workplaces want.
