Does the darkness of line mean anything?

I’m on day 6 of my isolation and took the test today as per the advice to test on day 6 and 7 to end isolation. Mines still positive and the line very clear. Friends have said the line starts to get less and less dark before being negative which makes me think I’m now stuck in for the full ten days. Anyone had a very clear positive and a negative the next day?

Not in my experience when both of my sons tested positive. One son had a faint line on day 8 then tested negative the next day. My other son had a dark line on day 7 and then negative day after.

Yeah I had strong positive one day and clear the next, then the day after a faint positive again!

I think the clear day 6/7 is a bit optimistic tbh.

Thank you! Just interested to get other peoples experience. I started isolating since I came in to contact with someone who tested positive last Sunday due to CEV Member in the household. I didn’t test positive until last Wednesday and have been isolating in a bedroom for over a week now so just going a bit stir crazy!

Well they do say you're not actually infectious after a few days. America is 5 days, and the lateral flows can pick up dead virus. So I've read, I'm no expert but you're unlikely to be contagious and would be ok to leave your room in my opinion.

I do understand the worry of passing it on though Thanks
