My 17 year old goes to college 3 days a week and had covid for the first time last july/august. She was quite ill and still had some asthma type issues (she doesnt have asthma but thats how the dr described the leftovers of her covid).

She got it again in December despite being fully vaccinated and already having had it.
She again was quite ill - she hasnt been ill enough to need hospital so i think it would be classed as “mild” for statistics but it didnt feel mild and its still affecting her now.

She is autistic and so being ill causes a little more upset than normal but it also means that since she hates being near people shes not exactly taking a lot of risks anyway!

She is due to go back to college next week and im seriously expecting her to get it again - has anyone had it more than twice? Should i be worried about her immune system at this point!?

Oldest niece (17) has had it twice, one of oldest's best friends (13) also. I haven't heard of anyone having it more than twice but it sounds like it might be a possibility with Omicron, although it sounds like it's likely to be very mild if a reinfection.

If your DD had Covid in December despite having previously had Covid and being double jabbed, surely the likelihood is that the December Covid was Omicron, given that Omicron has spread so quickly precisely because it's "good" at reinfecting people and escaping the vaccine. If that's the case hopefully she will have some immunity when she goes back to college.

My DS has just tested positive (LFT and PCR) for the second time in just over 90 days. Seems far less I'll this time so far though.

My DS has Covid for the 2nd time now. This Omicron varient seems to be hitting the DC much harder than when ill in April 20.

Not sure if it is relevant but my DS is 14, also goes to college 3x per week and is autistic.

I have it now for definitely the second time and possibly the third (first infection was pre testing in initial wave). Barely a symptom though. I'm triple vaccinated too.
