What is classed as close contact now?

Just that really. So 2 colleagues (Scotland) just tested positive. One of whom I worked very closely with for 10 hours yesterday. Masks on for most of it but off at several occasions face to face chat whilst eating lunch. Would that class as a close contact by track and trace? So confused now as to what is classed as close contact and what is not.

Just to add as precaution have taken lft and will continue to do so negative so far. Just concerned as colleagues was negative in the morning and positive by dinner time and she visibly got very unwell as the day went on

I would say this would definitely be a close contact with 10 hours contact, even if you did wear a mask for some of it.

Dp went on a course with someone who tested positive the next day. They sat next to each other all day but not exactly face to face! Dp caught it and was positive 4 days later.

2 of my colleagues tested positive on Christmas Eve/Day. I had spent all of Wednesday working with them, no masks. I managed to think myself into a sore throat yesterday, now gone, and so am waiting for a PCR test result. However I've no symptoms and there are 5 of us at work who are still negative LFTs with no symptoms.

I would class anyone you have worked with in the same room as close contact, even with masks.

I wasn’t sure if it was just same household still. It all changes so much. We work in a very small environment and that’s 2 gone so if I have to isolate we are closed. Just not sure what to do for the best. I am saying they are positive but I mean they have both tested positive on lft (they are a couple and live together) and are both very unwell: awaiting pcr results but I feel in a bit of a limbo as to what I should do. I feel fine and tested negative but just thrown me he had positive lft yesterday morning hers negative so she came to work. By evening she could barely stand up and done another and it was a strong positive:

Thanks! No I'm pretty sure it's still the whole 2m for more than 15 minutes etc. etc. But I think omicron is so infectious that you're lucky to avoid it anywhere!

I am a nervous wreck. It is my business and can’t deal with the fact I may be putting customers at risk but also can’t afford to shut down until track and trace kicks into place assuming (which I am sure she will) tests positive on pcr. In Scotland rules have changed all over the place it’s the first time I have been uncertain as to what to do technically she has had no pcr but I know she is positive on lft and very unwell and we were in close contact. My dilemma is last time round we had 2 members of staff on different teams test positive. One team were told to isolate and the other team told they didn’t have to as masks had been worn.
So same exact situation at same time 2 different track and trace advisors have opposite rules to both team/ my business is a bar/restaurant so we come into contact with a lot of people
