Injection site burning after booster

I didn’t know whether to post this in Health or this forum so apologies of it should be in the other one.

I had my Pfizer booster on December 23rd. After my first and second vaccination, I did experience some tenderness and pain around the injection site so was expecting it, and it cleared after two days.

The area around where I was jabbed four days ago is red and the redness is spreading. The skin is also very hot to the touch and sore when I lean on my arm in bed. It’s sore enough that the pain will wake me at night if I roll over.

I’ve googled and it’s a common side effect but I was hoping it would have eased by now.

Has anyone experienced the same issue and found a way to reduce the redness/heat and tenderness? I’ve tried a bag of frozen peas which helped but the relief wore off very quickly.

I had this with my second jab. I thought I got away with side effects but 5 days later I had what you describe. My arm was very visibly swollen. I took some ibuprofen and tried to keep it cool but other than that I just let it go down on its own. Is it called covid arm I read somewhere I could be wrong though. If it doesn't go down in a few days contact your gp fpr advice. Sorry I couldn't help further but just wanted to say it seems quite common. Hope it feels better soon.
