Confused about LFT results and isolation period

I am on day 7 and still positive on a LFT so no early escape for me. My 6 year old is on day 11 and also still positive. So she could go out, technically, but does the result mean she's still contagious? She's not got any symptoms. I'm concerned about her seeing my elderly father

I ‘think’ that as long as she’s isolated for 10 days she’s now free. I think the LFT can remain positive for quite some time after but that you are no longer contagious.

After 10 days can leave isolation except if the “patient” still has a temperature. Ongoing cough etc does not indicate infectiousness

The UK have never tested at the end of whatever the required isolation period is until they brought in this day 6 & 7 negative LFT to release early so they just don't have the data on how many people continue to test positive beyond the current isolation period. As someone who lives outside the UK and has travelled during the pandemic it's very apparent to me that many people continue to test positive for longer but it doesn't mean they are infectious. Having had experience within the family of positive LFT's followed by negative PCR and vice versa I just wouldn't have much faith in LFT's being able to accurately detect current infectious state post 10 days so would just go with the thinking of do the 10 days isolation and then get on with life.

Thanks all. She's done her 10 days and no fever. So I guess that means she's no longer infectious despite the positive test. It just seems ridiculous that's I'm on day 7, no fever and the same logic doesn't apply.

I tested positive on lateral flow tests for around 12 weeks. I really do fail to see how anyone can test negative on day six.
