Exposed to covid after covid?

What happens? If you've just got over covid a few days ago and get exposed again?

Haven't been exposed but genuinely curious. Ds has just got over covid and finished isolating 6 days and going to his dads for a couple days. They all have 'colds' apparently. Could just be colds but who knows! 🤷‍♀️😪 my covid was exactly like a cold!

Don't even want him catching a cold tbh.

Following with interest, recovered from Covid and had a ping to say I’d been near someone on my first day out of isolation Confused

21 days after testing positive I tested negative on day 10 of isolation I was taken to hospital with breathing problems. I was taken to the covid ward. I was concerned I would end up with Covid again. The nurse assured me that wouldn't be the case🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I’ve been wondering this too. I tested positive in November and wonder if I could now catch omicron. I hope not as my lung still isn’t right 🤦‍♀️

DS12 had PCR-proven covid. Isolated ten days. Got fully better, back to sports and school.

Two weeks later came down with high temperature, headache, sore throat, raised glands. Then a sudden rash which resulted in medical intervention. None of the medics I asked thought there was any possibility of it being covid 3.5 weeks after initially being diagnosed; they all said they had never seen nor heard of anyone catching it so quickly again.

I guess we just don’t know enough about this current variant, but based on previous it’s unlikely. I’ve been exposed for 5 days to omicron and tested positive for antibodies since having assumed delta in June.
Feels like a bloody experiment 🤣

I had covid last xmas. My pcr came back negative, but I took it as my partner had it at the time. I had high temp and lots of coughing for about 3 weeks so presume I had it. I've been exposing myself a lot to find out if I can get it again but seems I'm quite immune.

I’m interested in this as I’ve been exposed to probable omicron at least three times that I know of in the last two weeks and I had what I assume was delta 8 weeks ago(confirmed positive). I’m also boosted. No symptoms and negative lateral flows 9 days now since first prolonged indoor exposure 🤞

Which means he probably just had one of the many non-Covid infections that still make people ill.

Omicron only takes 2 days or so to show symptoms. so by day 9 you can be pretty sure you're ok I think.

@treeflowercat yes I’ve heard this- was last exposed on the 23rd (singing right next to them for two hours) so I think if I make it past tomorrow I’m hopefully ok 🤞
