Wait Time between having covid and getting booster

NHS say 28 days after having covid you can get the booster.
Am I not protected naturally for a bit longer anyway if I had Covid 6 weeks ago?
I live a few miles from the border with the Republic of Ireland and there their health board tells you to wait 6 months after having covid. No idea why; obviously there are many discrepancies between the rules and guidance in different countries but that one seems quite a big leap.

I'm in the UK , I had covid four weeks ago in November and my booster on Wednesday ( 22nd)
The lady asked me the date I had tested positive and then added on 28 days to make sure I was ok to go ahead ( I had already done this too as per the government guidelines online at the time!)

Government here in the Republic has now changed that to 3 months in an effort to ramp up the numbers boosted. I had Covid in September and only began to feel normal the past two weeks. I have no underlying illness and was fully vaccinated. My doctor and my pharmacist stressed to me not to get the booster until l felt well as it would be too much on my system. I was actually very cautious about getting it anyway as felt too unwell. I am leaving it until after Christmas as had reactions to vaccinations and after my experience with Covid am slow to bring anything else on myself.

It's up to you, you believe the UK guidance to go after 28 days, or believe other country's guidelines and wait longer.

I'm foreigner and watch the news from my country daily. The guidelines are totally different.

In your case, I would have it at shorter gap, since you really don't know how robust your natural immunity is. But at the same time, since you are double jabbed and had covid, so I assume you have very strong protection, so I think you can afford to wait if you wanted to.
It's up to you, I think.

I would wait as long as they suggest. I had my booster not knowing I was positive for Covid (symptoms arrived that evening) and I have honestly never been so ill in my life. Id suggest you get yourself properly over the bout of Covid first before introducing antibodies into your body.

My GP said to wait 28 days after my isolation period ended (England)

Your supposed to wait? Why is there an issue? I tested positive the day after my booster jab
