Just checking out of curiosity. Teenage DS tested positive a couple of days ago, and we confirmed with a PCR. Got the positive result the day before yesterday. Apart from the actual result text/email (which only tells him to 'isolate immediately', but doesn't even say how long for), we've had no contact. When DH was positive a couple of months ago, he immediately got a call from T&T to trace his contacts, then had two further follow up calls over the next few days, which gave clear instructions on how long he needed to isolate for, to check he was isolating, and also to give him some medical care advice.
Now, I don't actually need any contact - I work in a school so I'm totally au fait with the isolation timelines, DS is totally well, and I've already contacted everyone that he's been in close contact with, in case they want to test more - but I'm just curious about the different experience. Is this a new approach? Is it because there are so many cases now that they can't contact everyone? Is it because he's a child? Or because it's Christmas?? Interested in what others have experienced. (BTW I'm in England.)
