Is vomiting a symptom?

I can't keep anything down today and feel horrible. I am boosted but only 9 days ago so I don't think that would protect me.
It felt like a hangover but it is not a hangover.

The retching was really 'violent' if you see what I mean, out of nowhere. Felt fine yesterday.

I think it is , have you tested- I hope you feel better soon xx

BallstoJingle · 24/12/2021 16:34

I had a high temperature and then started vomiting with diarrhoea due to covid and ended up in hospital with covid and adrenal failure. Nothing I took touched the vomiting.

Sadly, it can be. This is how my DS2 started

Bobholll · 24/12/2021 16:37

Yeh it can be. My cousin vomited a lot with covid last week 😷 but equally, plenty of stomach bugs out there .. do you have kids?

changedforschoolpost · 24/12/2021 16:41

My child did and then tested positive, hope you are ok xx

Lindy2 · 24/12/2021 16:44

Yes. My 2 children both had sudden and quite violent vomiting as their main symptom.

It's worth testing to know for sure.

I hope you feel better soon.

Being sick once was one of my first symptoms, but that last more than 12 months ago

OliveTree75 · 24/12/2021 20:24

I had several hours of nausea and retching when I had covid but didn't bring anything up (could have been anxiety). Also I work in a school and all of the cases in our school recently have included vomiting in both staff and children

bicyclesaredeathtraps · 24/12/2021 20:26

I've been vomiting more than usual with it, but then again can't guarantee that's covid bc I get random bouts of sickness from my chronic illness anyway. Sorry you're feeling rotten.

Knobblebobble · 24/12/2021 20:31

Yes had one vommity child Monday (no cough no temp) tested neg on a ltr the next day. Was exhausted and tested again yesterday strong positive in seconds. However feeling a loot better today

2nd child threw up this afternoon , fully expect them to be positive in 2 / 3 days also...

UserBot · 25/12/2021 00:03

Sorry for not coming back. Felt like I had a bad hangover all day but stopped vomiting at about 14.00, slept all afternoon.

I'm ok now. But I did have a headache as well.

Apparently it's impossible to get hold of a test now. I've been seeing them everywhere for months but they're all sold out everywhere.

I think I have it though. I won't be going anywhere for a while.

Snap, that's exactly what I had. Little bit of a runny nose but not so excessive that I thought, hey, I definitely have it.

I hope I'm over it now. I did have the booster but on the 15th. Got to cook xmas lunch for myself and 2 teenagers tomorrow. I do feel better though.

My sons main symptoms when he had Covid were headache, temperature, vomiting and diarrhoea.
I hope you feel better soon.

I vomited when I had it in 2020 after getting 4 days of fever and various other symptoms. It only happened one day thankfully. Zoe have had it as a possible symptom for a long time.
