Question re Christmas presents

Hi all,

My friend has dropped her presents off (social distanced with masks) and she's just texted me to say her brother has tested positive for covid, she hasn't but the presents have been in the same house with him. Do I need to do anything? I'm just conscious as the presents are for my 11 month old ds and one if for my 80 year old grandma, I'm not exactly sure how you isolate presents or how long for?

What do people suggest, thank you

It will be fine. Surface transmission isn't really a thing. It's only been in the house with him, I doubt he was coughing directly onto them so don't worry

Put them out of the way and quarantine them till Christmas Day if you are worried

There's no evidence of surface transmission (flu, yes, norovirus, yes). Just leave them to one side until Christmas day if you are worried.

Surface transmission is not a thing but if you are worried just put them aside to Xmas day.

Risk is miniscule, but you have three days to go so just leave them to the side somewhere if you are really worried.
