Just had the call as DD aged 5 tested positive on pcr yesterday. I was expecting a more thorough conversation on limiting exposure to other people. He said:
- 2 year old DS can still go to nursery and doesn’t need daily negative LFTs
- none of the rest of us need to do a pcr and it wasn’t mentioned whether we need to do daily LFTs
- said my DD needed to isolate for 10 days then changed his mind when I pointed out it’s been reduced to 7 days if negative on LFT on days 6 and 7.
- asked if she went to any ‘activities’ but didn’t ask if we’d seen any friends/family in the spell before she developed symptoms.
Really odd- I was expecting it to be a clear and firm conversation about daily testing and isolating but he sounded a bit unsure and I’m not convinced he gave the right advice.
Obviously we are doing daily LFTs and we’re not going out anyway but if this is the new approach there’s much less onus on contacts to ensure they’re negative before going about their daily business. I’m keen to hear what others experienced from T&T?
