Positive pre flight PCR test - do I retest again in 14 days?

This is a hypothetical scenario.

I'm currently a British citizen staying abroad. I'm due to fly back to the UK in 4 days.

What if I test positive on my pre flight PCR test and am required to self isolate for 10 days? The airline will only let me rebook after 14 days but do I have to do another pre flight PCR?

The gov.uk website says not to test again for 90 days if you catch COVID19 (which is, essentially, what a positive PCR means). So how do I prove this to broader control and the airline?

Thanks in advance!

I think you use your positive PCR test as proof instead of a new one, as long as 14 days have passed since your positive test.

@Itscoldouthere thank you.

I just heard your sigh of relief from here!!

I'm really sorry, but my understanding is the UK have removed all "prior infection proof" for the requirements pre travel. Everyone over 12 needs a negative test in the 2 days before travel.A LFD test is recommended in this situation by Gov.uk

It doesn’t need to be a PCR, an antigen test will suffice pre-flight.

@BHX3000 thanks, that's what the link posted by @InTheLabyrinth says aa well.
