When are immunosuppressed due 4th dose?

Hello, I am immunosuppressed and had my third primary vaccine dose already. Does anyone know when we are due our booster (4th dose)? At the time I think I was told 6 months is this still correct? Thanks

Last I read it was now 3 months - 4th dose is the "booster" for immunosuppressed people so same timing interval.

3 months from third primary dose I think (I'm eligible as well). It's on the booking site now www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/coronavirus-booster-vaccine/

I'm actually due mine as of last week, but haven't heard from my GP yet and don't fancy queueing with the current infection rate in London to be turned away.

3 months after their 3rd dose

It's just for the immunosuppressed as research shows the initial doses didn't work so well for us in mounting antibodies

It's not really. It's just the booster for the few most vulnerable who needed a third primary dose.

OP - it's 3 months.

Yes the JCVI reduced the interval from 6 months to 3 months.

So if you are in the severely immune-suppressed category (of around 500,000 people) then you will have 1st, 2nd and 3rd primary vaccinations; and 3 months after that you are advised to seek out your 4th vaccination which is your actual 'booster'.

Unfortunately the NHS record-keeping system on all this is dreadful. GPs', nurses', managers' and vaccinators' knowledge is not good overall.

You may have to advocate for yourself with your GP practice. (I'm currently in this situation.)

No, it was first mooted in September, and confirmed in November, and re-announced at least twice since then.

It's only for the 500,000 most critically vulnerable (immune suppressed) whose 3rd jab was a third primary

I am a veteran of the 'getting the right jab on time' wars. So I hope they'll have got it sorted better in Jan when my household member's jab falls due (should have been about a month earlier, had omnishambles not fucked over the third primary programme)

Anytime from 12 weeks after the 3rd

I'm in Scotland and was proactively contacted by my gp for the 1st 3 vaccines but for this latest booster i had to log on to the normal booking service

As it's a different process since the first 3 I hadn't realised but I'm now booked in for Monday morning

onemouseplace · 19/12/2021 10:44

Well, it's all a moot point for me now as I tested positive this morning on an LFT.

Oh no, it's @onemouseplace hope you're not feeling too bad.

Appreciate you may not want to share details here but in case our medical situations are similar and this helps.

I'm CEV due to a transplant. I had my 3rd vaccine 12 weeks ago on Friday passed and am due a booster on Monday.

I was asked to take part in an antibody study.
Sheer coincidence my test kit arrived on Friday morning and I had an instant really strong line showing I have antibodies. As far as I'm aware I've never had covid (although possibly did at the very beginning when they weren't routinely testing).

So although I'm immunosuppressed and die a booster I still have antibodies in my system. Hope this might give you at least a tiny bit of reassurance Thanks
