My dsis and family are going round to my dgrandparents at the weekend. They are in their 90's. The thing is my dnephew had covid 2 weeks ago, so he's past the 10 days now but I'm worried about him possibly still being contagious. I'm I over thinking this? My dsis thinks so.

The covid rules are strange as your not supposed to test on a lft for 90 days after you've had covid , so you can't even check if he is still negative by doing one.
I suppose you could just employ the 2m rule ? Depends how old your nephew is of course and if would be happy to stay away from them ?
I would be wary myself , but if your d grandparents are jabbed and boosted I guess that helps ?

Yes he is not contagious. Entirely your grandparents decision. I know if I were in my 90s I would be treasuring every christmas regardless of risk.

Is your nephew now symptom free? I think you are supposed to continue isolating beyond 10 days if you still have a fever.

I think my bigger concern would be working out whether other members of the nephew's family might have caught it from him but still be in the incubation period.

Thanks for your replies. My dniece didn't catch it, but could be incubating it, who knows. She's not had any jab yet either.
Grandparents are fully jabbed.
