Why is omicron more infectious? Smaller, stickier particles?

Is it lighter in the air or does it need fewer particles to infect? Or don't we know yet?

It is better at initially evading the immune system, and penetrating human cells to use them to replicate.

Apparently it multiplies seventy times faster than delta in bronchial tissue, which I think means it can be coughed out more readily, but slower in lung tissue, meaning it's slightly milder in its effect.
