Those who want the vaccine but have needle phobia

Potentially interesting development - won't be any good just yet, but there's hope at least! (I used to faint at every vaccination and blood test, so have some sympathy, although have managed to get my vaccines since having kids and becoming generally less squeamish!)

It is almost like something from Star Trek.. the little things they put to your neck and administered whatever medication.

This has serious potential to help a lot of needle phobic get the vaccine.. but not everyone.

My son has found that there are trials for a nasal spray. He's now had covid, but we failed three times to get his vaccine.
He had a really awful blood test when he was 10, several sites, eventually got in through a foot vein (It was needed). Then fainted and threw up.
He did manage to get an HPV and tetanus booster, but it took a few attempts.

I suspect we'll have nasal for the kids (hopefully from next Autumn).

But as an adult you just need to get on with it.

Your last line sucks, sorry. A phobia is a recognised mental health condition. Would you find it acceptable to tell someone with something like agoraphobia to "just get on with it"?
