Is there a danger of potentially being exposed just after having covid?

3 out of 4 of us have covid. Isolation is up for Dp tomorrow and me and Ds early next week. Still a chance Dd might get it. I assume delta as haven't heard omicron. The person who gave it to Dp at work hasn't been told it's omicron either.

Anyway, I've read that a delta infection might not protect you against omicron? So say we get over this now and see family around Christmas. (Will likely be between Christmas and new year now).

What's the danger? If we were exposed to omicron? It will be family together from different parts of the country (we will be local but them travelling to stay with our parents). They all socialise a lot and use public transport to get here. We've always stayed away from anywhere with lots of people as our lifestyle means we have been able to and don't need to see a lot of people.

Me and dp are double jabbed and had boosters booked for this month but had to cancel due to obvious circumstances. Trying to get on to re book for January but haven't managed to yet.

What's the danger?!

Concerned it Dd doesn't get it from us she may get it otherwise over Christmas. Thankfully covid has been mild for us but still concerned.

Bil who will be travelling here works in a large school where half the kids have it but it's still open and he's currently negative... for now!
