How many days after testing positive you can get a booster?

I tested positive on 11 October and had a booster at walk in clinic today but now I read that there should be some gap between covid and booster?
If I had it too early would that mean that it won’t work or what?

Only 28 days, so you’re fine!

My timeframe is similar to yours, I had my booster last week. Go for it.

28 days so you are fine. 12 weeks for under 18s

I think the gap was more that it was unnecessary to have a booster soon after due to natural immunity after infection, rather than it wouldn't work.... so by delaying it, you'd be extending the period over which you were fully protected.

For instance, if you had a booster the week after you had Covid, and the booster lasted six months, you'd be covered for six months... But if you waited a month, you'd be covered for seven months (as your infection immunity was at least as good as the booster).

However, I'm wondering whether Omicron changes that analysis?

I don’t think anyone will know yet.
My dh has just had covid and has his booster booked for 3 and a bit weeks after he got ill with it- hoping they will let him off but suppose they might not

I do know that in kids they are saying 12 week gap because of myocarditis risk
