Antibodies to baby

Just that really.. I have just recovered from Covid. And while I say, in my experience it was nothing more than a cold - I'm also pregnant (unvaccinated) and thought I'd ask if the Baby will now have the antibodies when born? I'm 24 weeks.

Not that I am looking for a medical answer on MN, just a discussion on the theory.

Looking forward to your replies.

You would be best getting vaccinated as soon at you’re a month after having it. Omicron is causing reinfection.

Covid late inpregnancy is bad. If you want antibodies, that’s the safest way to get them.

The sbort andwer is probably yes.

Covid antibodies stay in your body approx 10 months after infection. And they pass to the fetus 87% of the time according to this: www.cidrap.umn.edu/news-perspective/2021/01/covid-19-antibodies-transmit-moms-babies-during-pregnancy

The TLDR is probably yes
I got my vaccine at 21 weeks and there said it would give my baby some immunity

You should get your jab though...

Yes, I will get my jabs. Although my double jabbed partner is currently laying in bed next to me with Covid - so if it's going to get me again, it will if I'm jabbed or not it seems.

I'm hoping my anti bodies from catching it will see me through the next 3 months also.
