Incubation period in a household

For those who had covid spread within a household, how long did it take for everyone to get it?

DD tested positive on LFT and PCR on Friday. I had a faint positive yesterday, confirmed by PCR.

Just did a LFT which was strongly positive (matches my slightly worsening cold symptoms). Interestingly DD now testing negative so hopefully she is over the peak viral load!

Due to be flying abroad on the 19th. We will be out of isolation by then. Trying to work out the likelihood of DH testing positive whilst abroad which would be a nightmare.

If he tests positive before we won’t go (unless it is in time for him to finish isolating!)

Average is 5 days after exposure, but can be up to 10 days and rarely 14 which is why the isolation period for contacts is/was 10 days.

Do you not need a negative test to fly to where you are going or do they accept recovery certificate?

We don’t need a negative test to fly there. But we would to come home which is the risk if DH tests positive.

Also a bit of a risk if my Antigen test shows residual virus I guess.

Flight date would be 14 days from when I tested positive but in theory I could “expose” him to the virus after that date as we are in the same house?!
