Childminder with covid- can my parents still visit?

Our children's childminders daughter tested positive last week. The same day she was cuddling and playing with DS. We have tested each day and remained negative, but childminder obviously couldn't work. We found an alternative childMinder for this week, but have just found out that she has tested positive today too.

My triple jabbed parent's request due to visit us for a few days from tomorrow. Is that too risky? They are 70 years.

I wouldn't risk it.

I also wouldn’t risk it.

Assuming that your DParents are mentally competent, and you have told them what contact your DC (who are not required to isolate) have had with their CM, then I would abide by their decision.

Me neither - you would never forgive yourself if anything happened

Have you tried a PCR not LFT? If not I'd strongly recommend it esp if you've gone between one pos cm then there's now another. Could your LO be pos? LFTs aren't very accurate.

I had symptomatic covid with negative lateral flow tests so I wouldn't rely solely on them. In your situation I'd wanta negative PCR before seeing anyone elderly.

Thanks for the replies. I knew I couldn't risk it, really, I was just so looking forwards to seeing them.

I've taken my children for PCR today
