We've been fortunate enough to avoid covid so far. 4 days ago ish Dp spent the day with someone on a work thing who tested positive the very next morning (by lft, confirmed next day by pcr). They had no symptoms, only did an lft as their wife was at home with covid.
Dp did lateral flows on Wednesday and Thursday, both negative, then went for a pcr on Friday evening which came back first thing yesterday as negative - but we know it might of been a case of too soon.
He was okay yesterday, just a niggly headache which isn't unusual for dp - he gets a lot of headaches and also migraines. Throughout the night he developed a slight tickly cough, that could be anything though - both dc have had coughs and negative pcrs in the last week. It's not continuous or persistent - yet!
Today he's woken up with a full blown migraine. He does get them but this is severe and been vomiting all day, he's feeling very cold but temperature is normal on thermometer (36.6).
He's been for another pcr this morning so time will tell. It could just be coincidental?
Obviously there's a good chance it could be covid giving the circumstances.
But what's the likelihood it's the start for him? I'm worried sick about him. He's only 40 something and has been doubled jabbed (no booster yet as only had second dose in august) but he's been lying around fatigued all day!
Any advice? Complete newbies to be covid (if it is). Somehow we've escaped it so far.
