Can covid trigger migraines?

If you are a migraine sufferer?

Dp has been a very close contact at work in the last week. He did a pcr test on Friday which came back yesterday as negative. Since then he's had a 2 day migraine. He does get them but hasn't for a while and it's particularly bad this time and throwing up with it which again again can be normal for Dp.

But can covid trigger a migraine? He's just feeling a bit rough in general but no specific covid symptoms!

What's the chances of a pcr done on Friday evening being negative and today less than 2 days later being positive?

He's decided to get pcr test today. I'm also booking a pcr test as have a slight tickly cough.

I think any upset can trigger a migraine, having dental treatment triggers mine I also had one after my first AZ jab, I don't often get them and am always sick when I do.

I am fully expecting to get one this week as I have a dental check up and clean on Tuesday and Covid booster following day, I think it is probably the stress that causes it even though I don't knowingly feel stressed. Is there usually a trigger for your DH migraines

His usual triggers are stress, tiredness etc! Often just random though! He's very rarely sick as in a virus though. Friday was the first time he had ever done a pcr - he just hadn't been sick at all in the last 20 months since covid. Never gets colds or other viruses.

Hope you will be fine after booster and dental work. I get migraines too and AZ triggered one for me and couldn't shift for a week. Convinced myself I had a clot! I have tmj disorder so dental work can trigger me too if I have to keep my jaw open for a prolonged time!

Usually he wouldn't even think about testing with a migraine as it's very usual but considering he's been a close contact, he's a little concerned as not had a migraine in a couple months or more now. Contact was Wednesday negative test Friday but could have been too soon! I am also coughing so he just as well test himself again because I am going anyway! He's also woke up with a little tickly in the throat.

Thanks, hoping I will be ok, dentist is just routine and I'm generally ok with that, fillings and extraction are more of a trigger. It sounds sensible to get another test as it may have been too soon, hopefully you are both negative and it is just stress causing the migraine.

My friend gets migraines. She had a bad headache (not typical migraine symptoms for her) Friday, which coincided with a pcr test as her son had tested positive. This was negative. She had the headache (only) all weekend. She still had the headache Monday, and by this point felt fluey, and had another pcr. This time positive.
