Not a close contact.. yet!

Yesterday dh spent the day on a course with a colleague. Pretty close contact, they had lunch together too! I mean they wouldn't have been in each other's faces as didn't know each other well before. Thankfully didn't share a lift which was planned initially. Dh took his own car in the end alone.

Anyway, the colleague did say his wife at home was feeling pretty unwell and had done a lft which was negative - I mean if she had covid symptoms she should of done a pcr imo! But that's not my place to say 🤦‍♀️ Fast forward a day, colleagues wife has now tested positive on a lft.

What does that mean for dh? Assuming his colleague is double jabbed with no symptoms at present.. what's the risk? I mean he could have it and asymptomatic or incubating it yesterday?

They don't have much contact at work itself, just on this one day long course!

@PurpleDaisies

I would follow the official guidance. Pcr straight away.

I agree with lft daily and another pcr if symptoms/positive lft.

Thank you. He's booked one for after work. He was already at work early by the time he found out colleague was positive. So he's done a lft at work and negative and booked a pcr for after work!
