Positive but not poorly

Lots of positive cases here, suddenly, after months without. But nobody is actually ill, just self-isolating.

Is that normal? Like I say, we have had months without anybody ill here. Suddenly, a notable number of positive tests - sufficient to be of concern - but nobody is actually unwell.

Anybody else seeing the same, pls?

When you say "here" what do you mean? In your workplace?

TulipsGarden · 28/11/2021 06:24

But that's a good thing - why are you questioning it?

Anyway, no, not for me. I know two people who had Covid recently and were really unwell. Not hospitalised but proper flu-like illness.

I know someone who's three dc who tested positive on a lft (they were a close contact with relative) and not one of them had a single symptom. Not even a tickle or a headache. Totally fine. Pcr confirmed positive too.

1 in 3 are symptomless so great you caught it and so lucky you havent got symptoms!!

But 2 in 3 have symptoms. All the cases I know of have ranging fromn"bad cold" to more comminly hideous (but not hospital!)

Same with me - slight cold I would have ignored 2 years ago. Now I am stuck in isolation until 'test-out".

My neighbours had this. All 4 of them had a slightly bunged up nose and that was it. They tested because the husband does LF for work & one was positive. Mum & Dad are late 30’s and 6&3 year old.

Think they all lost the plot after 10 days 🥴😂
