Big red lump 3 days after booster... normal?

I had my booster 3 and a bit days ago and have a big red lump at the injection site. It's about 4cm in diameter and the skin is hot and hard. It's still getting worse each day. Is this normal or should I be worried? I have taken antihistamine, ibuprofen and painkillers and put savlon and ice on it, All jabs were Pfizer, arm was sore last time but nothing like this. (Have other side effects too... fever, tiredness and headache but they are improving now.)

I have the same 3 days after moderna booster, it’s slightly less red but more itchy today it’s swollen and hot

I had this after my 2nd jab. It was so so painful!

Cold compress really helped

If your concerned, pop into your pharmacy
They can have a look and advice

Thanks @Dumpypumpy @Muchmorethan glad I not the only one. I've had my nightly slow-release ibuprofen and I think it helps. How long did yours last please?

@WaterAndRichTea as I got the jab at the pharmacy (I'm in France) I will definitely call them or pop in.

Mine was a few days. I'm a nurse and fortunately l was on days off as l wouldn't have been able to work as it was so bad.

Had my booster couple of weeks ago whilst l was on annual leave, stocked up on analgesia, ice packs frozen in advance....

Didn't even hurt this time!

I had that with my first jab. It lasted for at least a week and was tender for about 3 weeks. It was my only side effect for that particular jab and I didn't get it with my second or my booster.

I don't know if it's common, but it's certainly nothing to worry about.
