I’ve only just discovered this:

www.reuters.com/legal/government/wait-what-fda-wants-55-years-process-foia-request-over-vaccine-data-2021-11-18/

How many of you knew about this?

It is really irrelevant whether the USA’s FDA crossed every t and dotted every i of their process to approve the Pfizer vaccine. For two basic reasons:

  1. Over a billion doses have been administered, so it’s safety and effectiveness has been proven as a matter of fact through real life use.

  2. Many other countries regulatory bodies also reviewed and approved the vaccine for use. The EU, Israel, Bahrain, UAE, Australia, New Zealand, come to mind. The US FDA is not the only world authority assessing the safety of vaccines. So for an unsafe vaccine to have been approved and used, not just the FDA would have had to been “paid off” to do a “cover up” , but every other regulatory body doing the same function in every other country in the world using Pfizer.

@PlanDeRaccordement the problem is that if they didn't do their job crossing every t and dotting every i then they should be held accountable they are using US government money to do their job properly. I'm sure the vaccine is safe but if the FDA didn't do their job properly then people having the vaccine first were lied to. Fair enough now we all know it is safe but that is thanks to people having it believing the FDA had done their job as they should rather than the FDA approving it via the proper means.

I don’t think we do know it’s safe , do we?

Ive seen plenty of information about heart problems, yellow card reports and deaths even.

YepNameChanged · 20/11/2021 18:56

@TotoShetland I agree. I’m not convinced it is fully safe but I’ve had two doses so there is precious little I can do. But I don’t think everyone who is questioning the safety aspect is an anti vaxxer

Do you know how many yellow card reports there have been for the flu vaccine? Or tetanus?

We know it’s safe. Read the studies.

@theworldsgonefeckingmad

Accountable for what exactly? People make mistakes in their jobs every day. However, they are only accountable if their mistakes amount to negligence and actually cause harm to another person (or damage property). Since we know definitively, that even if a mistake was made, no harm came of it. Therefore, legally there is nothing to hold the FDA “accountable” for.

theworldsgonefeckingmad · 21/11/2021 21:47

@PlanDeRaccordement well I don't know what kind of employment you have but where I work I am expected to do my job properly and whether it causes harm or not I'm held accountable if I don't do the job I'm paid to do.

No company or agency should be above the rules and regulations and yes whilst I agree the vaccine is safe, the fact is if the FDA didn't do their job they didn't KNOW it was safe did they, that's the problem.

PlanDeRaccordement · 22/11/2021 17:29

@theworldsgonefeckingmad

It’s not so black and white. You can make procedural mistakes and still have done your job properly in terms of the science of vaccine safety.

The FOIA is a fishing expedition, that’s why they asked for 330,000 documents. They don’t have any indication the FDA didn’t do their job properly and in fact the vaccine is proven to be safe, so we know that even if the FDA did skip something, it did not effect outcome or cause any harm.

And even if the FDA say, skipped past coordinating with one person they should have, or lost some trial data or made a maths error...it would then be true they did not follow their procedure or did the job with 100%, perfection, but it is also true that it could not have had any impact on ensuring the vaccine was safe. You can make multiple mistakes and still have ultimately done the core requirements of your job properly.
