The cold straight after Covid?

DD and I were diagnosed with Covid at the end of October. I had maybe 5 days of feeling lousy then another 8/9 of gradually lessening fatigue. I've been back at work feeling normal for 10 days, so 3.5 weeks from the first date of symptoms.

Tonight I have the unmistakable symptoms of a cold; headache, stuffy, blocked and dripping nose. I should also say I didn't have a cough and my symptoms for Covid started like a head cold. It sounds ridiculous because of course you can catch a cold at any time but my DD is fine and she's really the only person I see!

What do I do here? Presume it's a cold and go about my day? Obvious if I test again I could still show as positive from last time. Could it be a re-emergence of symptoms?

There is a nasty cold/flu type virus doing the rounds, it was actually worse than covid for us. Hope you feel better soon x

I’ve just had a cold after having covid in mid October. I didn’t get a cough or any of the official covid symptoms, and it was so definitely not the same as covid was for me that I didn’t test. I just wore a mask more frequently. If I’d had a cough or fever or if it had felt similar to covid, I would have got a PCR.

We're told to advise using a lateral flow in this situation (TTP).

I feel dreadful but not the same as with Covid. I have bad nausea and diarrhoea as well as a head cold. Sods law that I should be so unwell 10 days after recovering from Covid
