Does anyone know whether best to still go? Or to wait in case my immune system already dealing with the virus ?
I’ve ordered us all pcr tests

Book it and you can amend the booking. I was able to book last week but the first available date was 2 weeks on.

Thanks. I’ve managed to book it for tomorrow pm and also a pcr I hope will arrive first as all I can find is that you’re obviously not meant to have the booster if already positive.

Same situation here, I've booked mine a few weeks in ahead then I'll definitely know by then if I've been infected or not

I still don’t really have an answer . I think I will go with a mask and social distance . My lateral flow was negative so I’ve saved the pcr test for now as forgot it anyway takes a day longer

Wellbythebloodyhell in the end I rang my midwife team who recommended it was best to still have it as long as I have no symptoms and also have tested negative. They’ve also said to obviously isolate from DS.

Though I guess you don’t need that as yes you’d indeed know by then. I hope you stay well!

I vaccinated someone today who's spouse and child were home with covid. They had tested negative and no symptoms, had isolated from each other as much as possible, so I was happy to go ahead. Just warned them they won't have the vaccine protection for a few weeks.

I asked this question earlier as I'm in a similar position and someone linked guidance that said the only reason they don't want you getting the booster while positive is that you can then no longer tell apart side effect symptoms and virus symptons. There doesn't seem to be any health risk in having the booster after being exposed. I decided I'd rather than it sooner than later if I'm at higher risk of catching covid so I had mine this morning.

Also of course if you're positive you should be isolating! But this was when I thought my DD might have it due to a positive LFT (although she's just done another one that's negative).
