How soon after having Covid shouldn't have my booster and flu jobs?

Tested positive 18th October and I'm still poorly

Do I just get on with them both or wait a while?

Or do I just need the flu jab now I've had it?

Thanks @HelloKittySkittles

Do you know about the flu jab too or should I just assume the same

Iirc you can have your flu whenever but just realised that your 28 days is today. If you still aren’t well I’d maybe leave it until you feel a bit better.
I hope you feel better soon Flowers

Thanks I think I'll leave it a while; have a rethink at the end of the week/next week

I'm struggling going out still

It’s best to delay until you’re recovered. There’s less of a rush to get it now you’ve just had covid. That will have given you a boost.

Sorry you’re still feeling so rotten. Hopefully it won’t go on for too long.Flowers

Hi Katymac, sorry to hear that. What symptoms are you still having? I'm just recovering from covid myself (2 weeks in so still early days) but I think we have the same underlying condition (pernicious anaemia?) if I remember rightly.

KatyMac · 01/12/2021 11:48

Oh yeah, I forgot I had that too - I've been missing it off my list recently!

Breathlessness, chest pain and palpitations oh and exhaustion, extreme exhaustion (but that goes with the chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia I guess - Covid may have triggered an attack)

I'm really sorry, that sounds awful. At what point does it get classed as long covid I wonder?

No idea the gp said I was fussing and it was probably a panic attack (which I have had occasionally) but for me panic and anxiety are normally short shallow breathing, and noticeable fast heartbeat and no pain; so I dont bloody know

Today I got up got dressed got in the car DH drove, I queued up for 10 mins in a chair and DH drove me home I had a cuppa DH made it then I slept until 3

Spoke to a different gp

Who said I'd been offered medication and refused it

I when all I said was I didn't think I was having panic attacks

"What did I expect the GP to do with this phone call"

I said I'd been refused the booster until I spoke to a gp did he thinking should have it now or postpone it - eventually he said postpone it

I feel like a fraud - I wouldn't be not working my self employed job if I didn't feel crap it's not like I'm trying to get sick pay or any other benefits; the only people who lose out with me not working is our family
