I have daughters in their 20s that had AZ as they were in group 6. Doesn’t look like they are in group 6 now but the efficacy of their vaccine is reducing and they are both asthmatic
It must be worrying for you but remember even with slightly waning immunity, all three vaccines continue to offer pretty good protection. That includes AZ. It's less effective than the mRNA, yes, but still good - and much better than being unvaccinated.
Also, the biggest risk is still age. 40+ is when the risks start to increase (and even more so from 60/70).
From what I understand the definitions of CEV (and CV) were changed as more became known about who is currently most at risk.
I don't know whether this is the case, but it might be that vaccination provides better protection and/or immunity wanes more slowly for asthmatics than perhaps for certain other CV conditions?
However, if you/they are really worried, have they spoken to their doctors to see if they need/can have a booster?
